Emily and her mom came to me with the specific design idea to do an invite with a swiss dotted border, an embossed monogram and a ribbon bow, which is exactly what we did! It’s rare that a bride comes to me with a visualization of exactly what she wants, but when she does it’s so fun to help her bring the idea to life!

We used a sand color swiss dotted paper for the backing and a rayon ribbon for the bow which matched her J. Crew bridesmaid dresses perfectly. We continued the design to her day of stationery with a folded program that had a swiss dot paper band and ribbon tied around it, plus escort cards and table numbers with the same papers.

For the escort card table, they hung the cards up with mini clothespins and asked guests to write notes on pieces of fabric to hang on the clothespins after they took their cards. The family planned to make a blanket with the fabric pieces adorned with guests’ sentiments.

The couple used Aletha from Pearls Events for their day-of coordination, Modern Day Floral for their floral & event design, Sweet Cakes Design for the cake and the lovely photos are from Kai Heeringa Photography.
